What happened to Julia yesterday around 5pm   ????

1- Julia was sitting in the park .The girls were chatting about their weekend. Suddenly Julia saw a woman who was walking her enormous Doberman. Julia realized the dog was dangerous as he was showing his teeeth. She  informed immediately her friends. They all kept an eye on him  as he was approching but they couldn't avoid what happened afterwards : the Doberman felt Julias's fright and bounced to her thoat. His mistress tried to stop him but she didn't manage. The monster bitted the poor girl. A few minutes later the ambulance came and brought Julia who was bleeding to the hospital.

Preterit simple  = action soudaine, qui ne dure pas (un peu équivalent au participe passé français à l'écrit)

preterit BE + -ing = action en train de se passer (qu'on pourrait traduire par de l'imparfait, ou du + que parfait === en train de )
