En Anglais on écrit Kyiv, pas Kiev. :)

Jan Koum was born in Kyiv, Soviet Union. He flew the USRR with his mother and his grandmother to go to the USA, precisely in California, in 1992. He was 16 years old.

His family was poor, they didn't have enough money to buy food. In order to help his mother, he was cleaning-up in a grocery store.

His dream was to work in computer science, to become an entrepreneur and to become a computer programmer. His passion was to read books about programming.

He worked to pay for his studies. He was learning alone. He worked as a hacker and was hired by the company Yahoo!.

He met Brian Acton and they became best friends. He quit Yahoo and created Whatsap*. He is now a billionaire.
