- The plastic used in plastic bottles contains chemicals that are dangerous for our health.
-They usually end up at the bottom of the ocean and get mistaken as food by the animals living there. This causes severe health issues for the animals and might even cause their death.
- Loads of fossil fuel gets spent to create something we throw away after using it only one time.
I don't get the 'tell them why their things aren't bad' , sorry!
I guess straws are the easiest to deal with since they aren't that necessary, i mean neither are cola cans but cola is a really famous brand and i doubt they'll want to reduce or even remove their cans. We need tires the most. Straws are easy to replace or recycle.
