Bhutan
I was lucky to go to Bhutan in September 2015 and came back completely transformed from this country. But why have I so loved this little Himalayan country and especially why is this the country in which I must travel in 2018?
Bhutan is a little known country and tourists are so few, and that's a good point. Then, the Bhutanese are nice people, sometimes shy, but very curious, and, unlike India (this opinion only concerns me), this curiosity is not unhealthy. Their looks are benevolent. Probably due to the fact that the Buddhist religion is omnipresent: many temples and Dzong (buildings shared between the administrative power on one side and religious power, on the other and found mainly in all "big" towns of the country), festivities around the great myths of Buddhism, but also many stupas sites (monuments in colorful and sacred stones). This omnipresence of Buddhism means that this country and its inhabitants give off a form of serenity that I have never seen elsewhere.
The other asset of Bhutan is the importance of nature and its preservation. Proof of this is that fishing and hunting are simply forbidden! The government has also put in place a policy that allows the protection of the environment. They want to avoid becoming a country in which mass tourism has destroyed part of the ecosystem.
